Really liked the book. Was a “clean” romance. No HEA in this book. It ended on a huge cliffhanger and that’s the reason i only gave it three stars.

I have enjoyed the Gray Wolf Series that Quinn Loftis has written. So I gave this Viking series a chance and it was a good book to read. Now onto the next book of the series.

Couldn’t put it down

I finished it in one day. It was an enjoyable read. The main characters are detailed & I really liked their banter. Only problem is that I don’t have book 2 to continue their story. Will have to remedy that!

1 in a series

Aren't descriptions of a book supposed to tell you when the book is just 1 of a series of books required to complete the story? If this one had it could have avoided the poor rating. I hate partial books. I now understand why this book was so repetitive and slow moving: to elongate the story to look like a full length novel but requires reading another book (or two) to finish the full tale. Frustrating!!!

The plot is good. I always enjoy a romance from a male perspective, but it’s brutal to get through the MANY errors in this book. Setting grammar aside, the far too modern phrasing kept throwing me off as well.

Seriously, who thought publishing this book was a good idea? It’s basically a endless ramble of the exact same character thoughts over and over and over, right up until the reader thinks it’s finally going to get good. Sadly, it ends. There is no real climax, the imagery is excruciatingly dull, and the plot is poorly explored. You will be disappointed by the wasted reading time you spent on this poorly written heap of why.

Really amazing book. It had me captivated from the beginning. The only issue is I want a beginning and end to a book not part of a story in one book, part in another, and part in the last. I appreciate series but each book should finish one adventure before another starts in the second book.

Have you never heard of proofreading? This book is nothing's no but a grammatical and literary mess akin to that which a third-grader might have created. The book is completely filled with grammatical errors, the use of incorrect words, incomplete and chaotic sentences, using words out of context, seemingly just to use a big word, and misspellings, repeated phrasing in a roe - so much so it was very difficult to get through this horrid mess. The plot and the way it was conveyed is incredibly juvenile.

Don’t Bother

This book doesn’t know what it wants to be. Too mature in some scenes for young adult fiction and too corny and lame to be considered a true romance. Also, the dialect and phrasing was entirely too modern for a historical setting. Pet peeve.

When I read the description I was really excited and thought that it would be a unique read. But I am very disappointed. I think the author should have set this in a fantasy world instead of our real world because it is incredibly historically inaccurate. I feel like she didn’t put in any research and just wrote about what she thought that time period was like. It was very unrealistic and one dimensional. The female lead is your average small and feisty Mary Sue who is good at everything and has no character flaws. I would have enjoyed this if I was twelve.

The Viking’s Chosen is fantastic! Love the storyline, rich characters, and the inevitable emotional attachment to both. As we’ve come to expect from gifted author, Quinn Loftis, the protagonists are strong, intelligent, witty, and often quite humorous. The relationship dynamics are well written and truly soul based. Anxiously awaiting the 2nd installment of this series!! (To Quinn: regardless of the genre, you have indeed created emotionally charged, literary junkies out of your fans! I have been a huge fan of Quinn’s work for several years and this is one of my absolute favorites yet!! She depicts the story as if you were there, seeing everything through the characters’ eyes’ and what they are going through emotionally, physically, and mentally. You can’t help but fall in love with this story and I am just left wondering how I’m going to make it until the next book of the series comes out!! This is the book for you if you like adventure as well as forbidden love!!
